MTM S3 2.0 TFSI

The MTM system has heritage - and spins stories. The heritage is based on MTM boss Roland Mayers' simple philosophy: cars leaving his performance centre are sporty, super and superior. The stories written about cars after their fitness makeover at MTM tell of victories and records.

4.2 TDI V8 - more muscle from MTM

MTM A8 4.2 V8 TDI

Diesel engines, formerly the preferred engines for large and small vehicles, have long since been at home under the bonnet of luxury limousines and trendy SUVs. Powered by voluminous self-ignition engines, these cars glide smoothly along the spacious boulevards and park in front of opera houses, art galleries and boutiques. Often, the owner is sitting in the back, with a chauffeur at the wheel. And he has every right to be happy. As a rule, he has at his disposal torque that produces irresistible power delivery even at an engine speed significantly lower than 2,000 rpm, thus confirming the theory that you can get “a lot of power out of a low engine speed”

MTM A7 3,0 TDI Quattro - a little bit more power?

2011 MTM A7 3.0 TDi Quattro

Diesel engines prefer to show their strong sides in the part-load operational range: here they have a good traction and consume a little. This is also true for the A7 TDI Quattro which offers 245 hp and a tight torque of 500 Nm. For the typical MTM customer it can even be more in this 3 litre compression-ignition engine. Roland Mayer, head of MTM and the driving force behind this engineering laboratory outside the gates of Ingolstadt, learned about the original virtues of Audi six-cylinder cars, cultivated them partially and prepared two more variations, which leave nothing to be desired:

MTM announces performance kits for VW golf GTI/GTD

2010 mtm Golf GTI

  • Up to 100 hp more and fantastic characteristics for the Golf GTI
  • 205 hp for the diesel Golf GTD
The sixth generation of Golf - optional with the 3 magic letters GTI or GTD - is like his predecessors an object of desire for the tuners. Either up to 310 hp(228 kW) for the GTI or 205 hp (151 kW) for the GTD, the VW and Audi refiner from Wettstetten offers for both cars different power and configuration stages, which improve significantly the characteristics and have a positive effect on the car.

The results: faster lap times, optimum value and lots of recommendations. And that not only in the MTM domains - best vehicle dynamics, thanks to a perfect complete package of power enhancement, exhaust system, suspensions and sport rims - but also for fuel consumption. In a comparative test, the MTM Golf GTD had a fuel consumption less than 8 litres per 100 km, which relegated its competitors to the fringe.

With the GTI for a new takeoff

The GTI drivers of the sixth generation will be spoiled with MTM products, which stand more for technique rather than optics. Four power enhancement stages, beginning with 270 hp (199 kW) through the optimization of the ECU and it even goes further. In its upper stage, MTM reaches more than 300 hp through the modification of the ECU, MTM turbocharger with exhaust manifold and complete 4 pipes exhaust system. The exact characteristics are 310 hp (228 kW) and a torque of 410 Nm, with a time of 1.16 min realized on the small track of Hockenheim, top speed of about 270 km/h and 5,7 seconds from 0 to 100.

MTM provides the new GTI with 19" sport rims in new BIMOTO 9-spoke-design which offer enough space for the MTM brake system with 380 mm discs. Last but not least, MTM advises the in-house suspension kit, which lowers the front about 30 mm.

For the ones who are only searching 'a little bit' more, they are in good hands at MTM. The 60 hp upgrade compared to the series car and also the 18" sport rims in the Bimoto Design - available since the beginning of 2010 - enable a first entry into MTM high quality tuning already available from 2.698 Euros incl. taxes.

2010 mtm Golf GTD

Mighty Diesel power. The Golf GTD by MTM.

With a power upgrade - through ECU modifications - of 205 hp (151 kW) and a torque of 380 Nm, the MTM Golf GTD is clearly ahead of the series GTD, with an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h of 7,1 s instead of 7,8 s and a particularly higher flexibility.

For those who are looking for more than a power upgrade, it's also possible to revert to MTM's full range of tuning products. Starting with the well-known MTM exhaust system in 4-pipe-optic and 80 mm diameter, over MTM suspensions, MTM sport rims in the BIMOTO design and MTM brake system, the Golf GTD can perfectly provided with.

Nobody has to be afraid of the prices: 800 Euro (incl. taxes, excl. installation) for the power upgrade, 1.499 Euro for the 18" rim set and for the ones who pay an additional charge of 400 Euro even gets a 19" rim set.

MTM launches the TT RS with up to 424 BHP

MTM - Audi TT RS

It is still being good for best lap timing: the MTM Ur-Quattro S1, with its 5 cylinders engine, has once again shown this summer that it gets around the Hockenheimring almost as fast as the Porsche Armada. 25 years younger as the legendary S1 and directly from the same development department, the tuning specialist presents the MTM TT-RS with the rebirth of the 5 cylinders engine as perfect motorization for drivers who like their car being suitable for racing. After the MTM power therapy, the sport car from Audi gets a power of 424 BHP and 560 Nm of torque and shows itself with a new aerodynamic which is based on the Ur-Quattro.

The secret: love for details and understanding of the new engine from Audi. In addition to the adjustment of the engine control unit, MTM has also worked on the exhaust system: new middle- and end- pipes with throttle valves. Moreover, an additional pre-pipe with metal catalyser can be built in. The result: a high-revving engine, lots of torque in every range of performance and an impressive sound thanks to MTM exhaust system technology with throttle valve. A compact sports car which will be good for best lap times and this not only on the small track of Hockenheim.

The MTM TT-RS can be ordered in 3 different stages of power enhancement. Besides the maximal stage of 424 BHP with 84 BHP more as the 340 from the series car, MTM also offer 2 stages with 404 and 408 BHP and 550 Nm. MTM sports rims with the original BIMOTO design in 19 and 20”, as well as suitable spacers in 20 mm and 30 mm are available.

MTM provides M-Cantronic devices with power enhancement for the Audi S4 and the Audi S5 Cabrio

2009 MTM-Audi S5 Cabriolet
  • 3.0 TFSI engine goes up to 430 bhp after MTM's power therapy
  • Top speed of 285 kph for the classy sport wagon from Wettstetten
  • Complete package with power enhancement, exhaust system, suspension kit, brakes and sport rims
The engine specialist MTM in Wettstetten proposes a considerable power enhancement for the new Audi S4 and the brand new Audi S5 Cabrio. Using its approved control device M-Cantronic, both cars, which are motorized by the 3.0 TFSI engine, become powerful sports cars with an incredible power reserve. The MTM S4, which is declined in its Avant model after its power therapy, stand as a real successor of the Audi RS4, and the current V8 of the RS4 is only 10 bhp more powerful than the MTM S4. Besides the engine control device M-Cantronic, MTM provides the series production car S4 with 4 rear pipes silencers with throttle valves. What results is 430 bhp (317 kW), 515 Nm of torque and an incredible 4,6 s from 0 to 100 kph (0-60 mph) with the 6 speeds manual gearbox. When a V-Cantronic is also implanted as well as the M-Cantronic, the normal 250 kph top speed reachs 285 kph.

2009 MTM-Audi S4

The S4 is not the only model which is motorized with the 3.0 L engine and new compressor technology. The S5 Cabrio is also built with the factory-made engine. It is then logical that MTM modifies the S5 Cabrio which allows cruising around with a massive power reserve. The tuning specialists from MTM propose different stages of performances, starting with at 380 bhp (280 kW) and 480 Nm of torque, which means about 47 bhp more than the series model. Who wishes the complementary exhaust systems with throttle valves in 4 rear pipes optic (4 x 80 mm), has access to the ultimo stage of power enhancement of 430 bhp and 515 Nm.

So much power in the new MTM S4 Supercharged needs an important brake system, that the customers can of course find by MTM. With 380 x 34 mm disk brakes, drilled with 8-pistons calipers, the S4 decelerate much better. With body work, MTM trusts the series model. However, MTM puts new lowering springs which lower the car up to 40 mm on the front axe and up to 45 mm on the rear axe. To reach the perfection, the package includes 19" rims in the original Bimoto design with dimensions 255/35 ZR 19. Of course, the 20" rims are also available in option.
