TOKYO : February 18, 2009 - Honda announced that global sales of Honda hybrid vehicles exceeded the 300,000 units cumulatively, as of the end of January 2009. Honda introduced the first mass produced hybrid to Europe with the first-generation Insight in 1999 and followed this revolutionary 2-seat coupe with the 4-door Civic IMA and Civic Hybrid.
Honda is now selling its hybrid models in approximately 40 countries around the world including the key markets of Japan, North America and Europe.
