Disclosed to the general public at the Geneva Motor Show, New Renault Grand Scenic and Scenic will be sold on 23 April and mid-June in France. For both versions, however, customers can place orders from 1 April in the network.
New Grand Scénic is available in 2 versions, 5 and 7 seats, 6 trim levels (Authentique, Expression, Carminat TomTom, Dynamique, Privilege and Jade) and 9 engines (3 petrol and 6 diesel engines).
New Scénic has 5 equipment levels (Authentique, Expression, Dynamique, Privilege and Jade) and 10 engines (petrol and 3 diesel 7). It incorporates the all-new navigation system Carminat TomTom® series from the Expression level.
Building on the success of Scénic I and Scénic II, and benefiting from its unrivalled expertise when it comes to user-friendly interiors, cabin space and travelling comfort, Renault is poised to renew the compact MPV segment's standard-setting model with the launch of New Grand Scénic (with seven seats) and New Scénic (five seats).
New Scénic and New Grand Scénic both feature dynamic, distinctive styling, while their roomy interiors, stowage solutions and high-tech equipment are destined to set new standards in their category.
- The instrument panel features a customisable, easy-to-read TFT (Thin Film Transistor) colour screen (unique at this level),
- Two distinct new silhouettes, and two variants: five-seat Renault Scénic and seven-seat Grand Scénic,
- Remarkable cabin space with class-topping second-row kneeroom (235mm in the case of Scénic, and 275mm for Grand Scénic),
- More room for third-row occupants than in any other compact seven-seat MPV (headroom: 842mm, kneeroom: 102mm),
- Segment-best stowage capacity, with up to 92 litres (seven-seat Grand Scénic) throughout the cabin, including four underfloor compartments, up to four under-seat drawers, six map pockets, an 11-litre glovebox and nine litres of stowage in the sliding centre console,
- Boot capacity increased by 10 per cent,
- Clever stowage solutions, including a special compartment for the luggage cover in the boot of seven-seat Grand Scénic, handy hooks for the second and third row seats and a 12V power supply for every row of seats,
- Intuitive controls which fall easily to hand, with a centre console that houses the controls for the principal driver aids (navigation system, electronic parking brake, cruise control, speed limiter switch, TunePoint multimedia sockets),
- Unprecedented in the segment: a reversing camera for easier parking,
- Carminat TomTom®, developed in exclusive association with TomTom, for less than £500,
- Upper-range 3D Sound by Arkamys® audio system with three-dimensional sound spatialisation,
- Suspension identical to that of New Mégane, including a horned front subframe and closed-section rear torsion beam for exemplary body roll control and steering precision,
- New electric power steering for greater precision and enhanced driving pleasure,
- A range of three petrol engines, including the new TCe 130, and six diesel engines, three of which emit less than 140g of CO2/km,
- Genes shared with the other members of the New Mégane family: robustness and quality, including a new laser brazing technique for welding the roof to the body sides,
- The same standard of exemplary safety as that claimed by New Mégane which achieved the joint highest ever Euro NCAP crash test rating,
- Three versions comply with the three criteria required to qualify for the Renault eco² range of ecological, economically affordable vehicles.
