2009 Team RS*R SCION tC - Formula D race car

RSR converted a Scion tC to drive as a RWD car. This was done by using the Toyota Avensis chasis, which the Scion tC is based on and is originally an AWD platform and converted it into a RWD car. The car is powered by a performance tuned BEAMS 3S-GE engine. This race car driven by Ken Gushi.

Ken The Goosh" Gushi is one of America's top drift racers. He should be, his father Tsukasa taught Ken to drift in a Toyota AE86 when Ken was only thirteen! Even though he didn't even have his driver's license yet, Ken drove well enough to become the youngest competitor at both the D1 Grand Prix in Japan and at the Formula Drift Championships in the USA.

In 2008, Ken and Crew Chief Gary Castillo will again stake their claim in the Formula Drift Championship Series, fielding a Scion tC. They'll be the first team to compete in a rear wheel drive vehicle.
