Aston Martin V8 Vantage gets more power, better fuel-economy for 2009


Aston Martin’s V8 Vantage, one of the most beautiful cars in the world, has received some technical enhancements, leaving along its award-winning shape. Both the Coupe and Roadster get a larger 4.7 liter unit replacing the 4.3 liter. Other upgrades include improved Sportshift transmission software and a new sports suspension option.


The new 4.7 liter V8 produces 420-hp (an 11% increase) and a peak torque of 347 lb-ft (an increase of 15 percent). 0-60 comes in at 4.7 seconds while top speed is limited to 180mph. Even with the slight power increase the new Aston Marin V8 Vantage improves its fuel-economy and CO2 emissions by 13 percent. justify;">Prices for the upgraded V8 Vantage will be released at a later date. Deliveries will begin in the thid quarter of 2008.
