The Carrera was held all through Mexico along the famous Panamerican Hgihway and supported by the Mexican government. An especially notable race took place in 1952. Mercedes were only successful in the legendary Mercedes 300 SL with wingdoors after a fright. The co-driver was hit and injured by a low flying vulture. As a result the Mercedes mechanics built a grid in front of the windscreen to prevent such a thing happening again. A curious win which is spoken of even today.


The story is so well known to the KICHERER engineers that they built - and even named - the new AMG Mercedes SLS in honour of this sporty example. That's why as hommage the abbreviation CP can be again found in the type description.

True to the firm's philosophy to only make conclusive additions to the basic AMG form and to keep the lines of a vehicle an in essence even more sporty version of the wingdoored car was developed. Especially the aerodynamics were able to enjoy a final high class polish. In addition the developers conceived and mounted a front spoiler lip, a roof ..., a rear diffusor and larger air intakes to better cool the 6.3 litre V8 engine. All new elements developed by KICHERER are, of course, made of high class Carbon.

An immediate eye-catcher on the front of the SLS is the large handcrafted frontgrill made of stainless steel, which is optionally also available in a discreet gold tone. The optics of the vertical struts are meant to remind one of the window grill on the original Pan-American vehicle. A further highlight on the sportscar are the 3 part 20 inch RS-1 lightweight wheels. The classic double spoke design harmonises perfectly with the equally classic sportscar silhouette of the KICHERER SLS 63 CP.

At the rear of the vehicle KICHERER lets the stainless steel exhaust with four oval endpipes melodiously release the exhaust gases into the air. An integrated valve control gives the driver - fitting to the occasion - the choice between a sonorous and a discreet tone.

Various performance enhancers for the 575 PS strong aggregate are optionally available but initially only on demand.

Kicherer has announced the sportier package for the new Mercedes E-Class model.


Based on the Mercedes E-Class AMG edition, evaluated with the body-kit, sport suspension, new sport exhaust system with two powerful tailpipes and 3-pieces 20-inch forged-alloy wheels.

The interior evaluated with a sport steering wheel, multimedia and vision applications and leather surfaces for the door panels and dashboard.

New Kicherer Mercedes E-Class Sport package will be offered to customer in this spring. Prices were not yet known.

KICHERER, German Mercedes-Benz tuning specialist has unveiled the custom Mercedes-Benz GL 420 CDI known as the KICHERER GL 42 Black Line.


KICHERER has remapped the ECU to boost the V8 engine with 360 hp and 900 Nm of torque from the standard. To increase this power to be able to enjoy also, highlights the tuner at the same time the electronic Vmax limit to 280 kmph.

So that the SUV is not the Contenance loses, the chassis with electronically adjusted and a sportier characteristic activated. Also electronically optimizes the response of the accelerator so that the engine produces its power of spontaneous release. Finally, the performance improved with a sport exhaust system.

KICHERER offered GL off-road package, which among other things, running boards, new grille and a roof edge spoiler, and the many trims in black. A 21-inch-wide tires with Komplettradsatz completes the conversion from.

Mercedes Tuning : KICHERER CL 60 Coupé - A Truly Great Sports Car

STOCKACH, Germany : October 8, 2008 - One thing is for sure, a Mercedes CL is one of the most comfortable and largest coupés on the market. And those who will choose the CL 600 with V12 biturbo will even be able to take pleasure in something like sports car characteristics despite the giant’s opulent weight.


And should you care to provide the Super Benz’s sheer luxury with an extra dose of dynamic vitality, Kicherer has in stock what you are looking for. The specialists from Lake Constance have redefined the CL with several new components – and baptised it CL 60. Among other things, this reinterpretation includes a storming increase in performance from 517 hp to 570 hp and an improved torque resulting in 900 Nm.


Moreover, the vehicle has been provided with a high-performance rear axle equipped with a differential lock and a modified transmission control module assuring that the excessive powers will always be transformed into performance – whatever the situation.

The contact to the tarmac is established by the handcrafted multipart 20“ Kicherer RS-1 wheels. Accordingly, the chassis has been lowered electronically by 25 millimetres and comes up with a slightly racier characteristic now – which, however, will still offer the spoiled owner a sufficient amount of remaining comfort.


The exterior has been blessed with several modifications as well. Here, Titleered side skirts, a front and a rear apron meet a handful of high-end carbon components by Kicherer. At the front, the latter consist of special deflectors for the bumper and a modified front grill. At the side, they consist of mirror shells made of that precious material mentioned before, and, at the rear, we find an impressive diffuser framed by a four-pass sports exhaust system.

The interior will delight the owner with sporty luxuries as well, since here he will find an opulent combination of finest leather and racy carbon intarsia. For all these reasons and more, the Kicherer CL 60 is, without any doubt, the most consistent realisation of a dynamic luxury coupé in our time. Appearance and performance have come together in perfect harmony.
