Summary:
General Motors is recalling 1,738 my 2009 hummer H3T vehicles. some of these vehicles have a condition in which the fuel tank front support strap may fracture. If this occurs, the fuel tank would be supported by the rear support strap and stone shield only. Continued use of the vehicle may eventually fracture the rear support strap and shield fasteners.


Consequence:
The fuel tank could separate from the vehicle increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy:
Dealers will install a new-design fuel tank front support strap free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on or before april 10, 2009. Owners may contact Hummer at 800-732-5493 or Owner Center at www.gmownercenter.com

Summary:
Chrysler is recalling my 2009 DODGE RAM 2500/3500 pickup trucks heavy duty cab chassis equipped with fte automotive manual transmission and power adjustable pedal package. The clutch pedal connecting rod to the clutch master cylinder may separate from the master cylinder. This may not allow disengagement of the clutch when the pedal is depressed, which could result in unintended vehicle movement.
Consequence:
Increased stopping distance and engine stalling will occur increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy:
Dealers will replace the clutch master cylinder hydraulic system free of charge. The recall is expected to begin during march 2009. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.

Summary:
Mitsubishi is recalling 39,711 my 2008-2009 outlander and lacer vehicles. Incorrect material composition of the brake booster check valve may cause the check valve to stick closed when the engine is shut off. When the vehicle is re-started and put into motion, under certain driving conditions (very slow vehicle maneuvers), there may be insufficient initial braking assist.
Consequence:
This may temporarily increase the stopping distance of the vehicle and therefore increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy:
Dealers will replace the brake booster check valve free of charge. the recall is expected to begin during april 2009. owners may contact mitsubishi at 1-800-222-0037.

Summary:
Mercedes Benz is recalling 16,130 MY 2009 M-class W164 passenger vehicles equipped with the optional power lift gate. As a result of a faulty seal around the rear tail lamp assembly, water may enter the rear compartment containing the spare tire. Water contamination of the control unit for the power lift gate can result in disabling of the power lift gate motor.
Consequence:
Water will cause a short circuit which could lead to a fire.
Remedy:
Dealers will replace the seal of the rear tail lamp assembly with a thicker one and reposition the affected power lift gate control unit inside the chassis. This service will be performed free of charge. the recall is expected to begin during april 2009. Owners may contact mercedes-benz at 1-800-367-6372.

Summary:
General Motors is recalling 276,729 MY 2009 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Cobalt, HHR, Malibu, Traverse, GMC Acadia, Pontiac G5, G6 and Saturn Aura and Outlook Passenger vehicles. these vehicles fail to comply with federal motor vehicles safety standard 102, "transmission shift position sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect", and fmvss 114, "theft protection and rollaway prevention". On some of these vehicles, the transmission shift cable adjustment clip may not be fully engaged. If the clip is not fully engaged, the shift lever and the actual position of the transmission gear may not match. with this condition, the drive could move the shifter to "park" and remove the ignition key, but the transmission gear may not be in "park".
Consequence:
The driver may not be able to restart the vehicle and the vehicle could roll away after the driver has exited the vehicle, resulting in a possible crash without prior warning.
Remedy:
Dealers will inspect and ensure that the shift cable adjustment clip is fully engaged. In the event that the clip does not engage, the shift cable will be replaced free of charge. Recall : 2006-2007 U.S. Toyota Yaris

TORRANCE : January 28, 2009 – Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. will launch a Safety Recall with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) involving approximately 134,900 Yaris vehicles sold in the United States.


The Yaris is equipped with driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioners that retract the seat belts to begin absorbing the occupant’s forward momentum when a severe frontal impact is detected. On 2006 through 2007 model year Yaris, Toyota has determined that the seat belt pretensioner deployment may affect the sound insulating foam in the center pillar, following a collision.

There are no reported cases of this condition in the United States and no other Toyota or Lexus vehicles are involved.

Toyota will inform owners of the involved vehicles with a Safety Recall notification via first-class mail beginning in early February. Owners are requested to contact their local Toyota dealer for repair. The repair will take approximately one hour, depending on the dealer’s workload.

2009 Volkswagen Passat CC

WASHINGTON : November 10, 2008 - Volkswagen is recalling 130 of its 2009 Passat, Passat wagon and CC vehicles because of a steering problem.


The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says some of the vehicles may have an electromechanical steering gear control unit that can malfunction due to a damaged capacitor.

"If this malfunction occurs, the driver's steering input is not properly processed by the system, and the vehicle may not respond as the driver intends," NHTSA said in its recall summary of the problem. "This defect can only occur immediately after vehicle start-up when the steering wheel is moved for the first time and at speeds less than 5 mph."

NHTSA notes that driver attempts to "overcome the system during malfunction" can cause vibrations in the steering wheel, the steering system motor to turn off, the red steering system malfunction indicator light to illuminate and audible warnings to chime. "A malfunctioning steering system could lead to a crash without warning," it said.

The recall will begin on December 5. Volkswagen dealers will replace the steering gear in the affected vehicles.

Breaking News : Nissan recalls vehicles over air bag concerns

WASHINGTON : October 15, 2008 - Nissan Motor Co. is recalling more than 200,000 vehicles to fix a sensor system that could affect the car's passenger side air bag.


Nissan says the recall includes 140,000 Nissan Altima cars from the 2007-08 model years. It also involves 2007-08 model years of the Infiniti EX35, G35 Sedan, G37 and the Nissan 350Z, Murano and Rogue.

A Nissan spokesman says there have been no injuries or crashes. Most of the recalled vehicles are in the United States; others are in Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico and the Persian Gulf.

The Japanese automaker said today an issue with an electronic component could interrupt a signal in the sensor system. That could prevent the passenger air bag from deploying under certain conditions.
