ZEEWOLDE, Netherland : November 14, 2008 - Spyker Cars is in attendance at the Los Angeles Auto Show from 21 to 30 November at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The presence of Spyker marks the US debut of the Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 - a limited edition of the road version of its GT2 LeMans car. Furthermore, the Spyker C8 Aileron preproduction car and a Spyker C8 Spyder will be displayed.




The Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85 is an advanced mid-engine, two-seat sports car. It will be built in a limited edition of 24 units maximum. It is characterized by a lightweight all aluminium body construction and an uncompromising engineering package. The power train of the LM85 is the all aluminium Audi 4.2 Litre V8 engine producing 400 bhp. This is paired to a manual six-speed Getrag gearbox, driving the rear wheels with a Drexler limited slip differential. ABS is standard. The u se of alu miniu m parts and other lightweight materials resu l ts in an impressive power-to-weight ratio and u nderlines the GT2 racing heritage of the car.

Exterior
Based on the Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R, the racing characteristics of the LM85 are n u mero u s, s u ch as the all alu miniu m chassis, GT2 livery (B u rnt Almond Orange with G u n Metal *S' logo), side mirrors in body colo u r, a carbon fibre rear spoiler, and GT2 windscreen streamer. Behind the back powder coated alloy wheels, back AP Racing 6 piston bake calipers with AP Racing logo appear. The LM85 can optionally be eq u i pped with Le Mans sticker sets as well as a c u stomised LM85 car cover.

Interior
The ample u se of back leather and alcantara, which is meant to red u ce light reflection d u ring racing, has been finished with orange contrast stitching and characterizes the u niq u e interior of the LM85. The dashboard instru ment panel is made of tu rned alu miniu m. Each car will feat u re a personalised LM85 serial paq u e. On req u est, Chronoswiss dials and switches can be installed and are virt u ally identical to the Chronoswiss 24Ho u rs Pilot Watch every LM85 owner receives with his car. The back floor mats are made of fire protective material, finished with orange piping and the LM85 logo embroidered.

Extra features
As mentioned above, every LM85 owner receives a special edition Spyker Chronoswiss 24H Pilot Watch with orange crocodile strap. The serial n u mber of the car will be engraved on the case of this exq u i site time piece. Additionally, all LM85 owners are offered an exclu sive Spyker VIP Hospitality weekend at the 24H of Le Mans in June 2009.
