New Renault Megane Estate : Practical, and a real pleasure to drive

BOULOGNE, FRANCE : April 14, 2009 - Following its unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in March, New Mégane Estate is scheduled to be released for sale in France on June 11, 2009. Customers will nonetheless be able to place orders for New Mégane Estate from April 20.


The New Mégane Estate line-up features a range of five equipment levels (Authentique, Expression, Carminat TomTom, Dynamique and Privilège) and a choice of 11 engines (three petrol, eight diesel).

Customers will be able to choose from 13 body colours, including the launch colour, Cassiopée Grey, and Olivette Green which is specific to the model. Non-metallic colours are Glacier White, Roy Blue and Vif Red. Metallic finishes are Cendré Beige, Crépuscule Blue, Extrême Blue, Cassiopée Grey, Eclipse Grey, Platine Grey, Pearlescent Black, Dyna Red, Olivette Green and Vetiver Green.

New Mégane Estate comes with an even longer list of equipment and powertrain options. Its particularly attractive price-list starts from practically the same figure as that of its predecessor, extending from €19,200 (Authentique version powered by the 1.6 16V 110 Ethanol engine) to €29,200 (Privilège version with the particulate filter-equipped dCi 150 engine and six-speed automatic transmission).
