Audi at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2009

INGOLSTADT : May 28, 2009 - Just a few more days before Audi competes yet again in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The brand with the four rings aims to continue its success story on the weekend of June 13/14 in probably the world’s toughest sportscar race with the newly developed R15 TDI diesel sportscar. Audi has competed at Le Mans ten times to date and, in the process, has crossed the finish line as winners eight times.


Due to the strong competition posed by Aston Martin, Peugeot and other teams the 77th running of the endurance classic promises great excitement. The media interest is correspondingly large.

The Audi Communications Motorsport team aims to provide all media representatives with the best possible service once again. All media representatives attending the event should note four appointments currently scheduled: The Audi Press Conference is held on Friday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the "Audi Racing Arena" in Parc du Raccordement. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the Audi factory drivers and key personnel from Audi Sport Team Joest are available for interviews between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. during a "Meet the Team" in the Audi Team & Media Hospitality. All media representatives have free access to the Team & Media Hospitality for these three appointments.

The Audi Team & Media Hospitality in the paddock is the central meeting point for all media representatives throughout the entire Le Mans week. All the latest media information is available from the counter in the reception area. Interview requests can also be booked here.

The ground floor is designed as open lounge. Permanent access to the catering area located on the first floor in the hospitality is, like previous years, only possible with special accreditation due to the huge demand.
