Toyota is Australia's most trusted automotive brand

MELBOURNE : June 24, 2009 - Australians trust Toyota more than any other automotive brand to deliver vehicles that offer quality, durability and reliability.


That's the verdict of a poll, published in the latest issue of Reader's Digest, which found Toyota is the most trusted automotive brand in Australia.

Respondents said Toyota consistently produces top-quality vehicles and delivers reliable, long-lasting and fuel-efficient cars at reasonable prices.

"Buying a new car can be a complex decision; psychologists of course say your choice of car says something about you," the magazine said.

"Whether the motivation is style, image, performance, comfort, economy, price, even colour, there's one quality Australians trust Toyota to deliver above all other makes: start-every-time, run-forever, solid-as-a-rock reliability."

The magazine said Australia's top brands were well known, respected and free from scandal and negative press.

"The most important thing to a customer, it seems, is a brand being true to its promise.

"Trust by association is a powerful marketing tool. Use it well, and brand reputation and trust can increase."

Last year, Toyota also ranked as the most trusted automotive brand in the country in a similar poll conducted by Reader's Digest.

Earlier this year, Toyota was named the world's most valuable automotive brand, in a report compiled by an international consultancy firm.
