SHANGHAI : January 18, 2010 - Brunei's TCY Motors Sdn Bhd last week introduced the all-new Chery Al at its Batu Bersurat showroom, allowing customers in the Southeast Asian nation to check out the newly China-made car, local media Borneo Bulletin reported.

The Chery Al car, priced at about $15,000, is a high-end, refined hatchback manufactured in China according to international standards. It is the first 'global car' developed in China for the global markets, with international technologies as well as services and sales modes.

The Al features an advanced engine that generates stronger power, as well as an exterior and interior designed by world-class experts in the automotive field. The design of its safety concept is in compliance with the international conventions.

In addition to its new safety guarantee and comprehensive configurations, the Chery A1 hatchback also provides a comfortable driving experience superior to its sedan version.

In May 2008, Chery Auto expected to partner with Chrysler for developing a Chrysler/Dodge-badged version of the Chery A1 model. The Chinese small-car was planned as an OEM project at Chery's Wuhu plant and would be exported to Mexico.
